Some cities are remembered as much for their atmosphere as their landmarks.
On a rainy afternoon in London, Big Ben faded into mist while a red double-decker bus emerged through the rain, its reflections stretching across the wet pavement. The city felt quieter than usual, softened by weather that blurred the line between memory and the present moment.
The rain became part of the composition, dissolving hard edges and allowing light, shadow, and movement to flow into one another. Rather than competing with the architecture, the weather shaped the mood, transforming a familiar landmark into something more intimate and timeless.
Watercolor captures these fleeting moments with a softness that feels true to the experience of rain itself. Transparent washes leave space for the imagination, much like memories that become less about perfect detail and more about how a place made us feel.
London Rain is a reflection on the beauty of slowing down—of discovering that sometimes the most memorable journeys begin when the skies turn grey
