Who goes there

Rain transforms a familiar street into something uncertain.
A solitary figure pauses in the shadows, caught between the darkness of the street and the warm glow of a ramen shop. The city around her is deliberately allowed to disappear—architecture dissolves into washes, edges are lost, and only fragments of reflected light reveal the scene.
Who Goes There? explores that fleeting moment when an ordinary walk through the rain begins to feel mysterious, cinematic, and slightly unknown.
Watercolor allowed me to build the painting around large connected dark shapes, using small passages of warmth and light to pull the figure quietly from the shadows.
